The RPT shares were released to all the barangays simultaneously after the flag ceremony on Monday, July 13 in San Enrique Municipal Hall. It was the second time that the mayor has released the barangay shares, after being elected as town executive in 2013.
"I don't know if the previous administration were giving out 25% shares. Actually, this is the second time that I'm doing it. Last year 2014, I also gave their shares," Palabrica-Go said.
The shares are proportionally computed based on the real estate taxes collected from the individual barangays as mandated by the Local Government Code.
Of the total P951,652.53 that the mayor released, the biggest amount went to Barangay Mapili with P112,830.09, while Barangay Imbang Pequeño got the least with P4,717.81.
