SEAFDEC celebrates 40 years in Iloilo

Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog congratulated the SEAFDEC-Aquaculture Department (AQD) on their successful exhibit at SM City mall showcasing its 40 fruitful years of existence.

The significant event is a good showcase and opportunity for all Ilonggos to appreciate the wonders of technology --- the various inventions and innovations that will advance the quest towards progress and sustainable development.

Fishery research and development plays a vital role and great contributions to daily lives as society continues to strive in this dynamic, ever-changing, challenging and competitive world.

The mayor credited SEAFDEC-AQD for being very dedicated to work for the upliftment of Filipinos especially in the fishery field of expertise, thus contributing to global excellence.

Mabilog encouraged everyone to continually work together and help each other for the sustainability of worthwhile undertaking.

The chief executive commended SEAFDEC-AQD for introducing to the Ilonggos the complex yet colorful world of fisheries --- the inventions, technological breakthroughs and developments.
