Schedule of 2015 Asia-Pacific Taekwondo International Championships

The booming Iloilo City gets to host the 2015 Asia-Pacific Taekwondo International Championships on February 28-March 1, 2015 at SM City Iloilo. Check the schedule of matches below.

This is the first time that the said international competition be held outside Metro Manila, with teams from Iloilo City, Philippines, Canada, China, Guam, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, Taiwan and USA battling it out in a 2-day tournament.

"We have never hosted International Taekwondo Tournament outside Metro Manila before, this is history for the first time ever we are doing it in Iloilo City. I would like to thank you Mayor Mabilog for initiating this event. I am happy that the mayor made sports a priority program of the city," said Philippine Taekwondo Association Secretary General Monsour del Rosario.

5:00 PM Awarding Ceremony (Medals)

DAY 2: March 1 (Sunday) @ SM City Iloilo:

The event will be hosted by Miss International Bea Rose Santiago.

“We would like to make the city as the country’s sports destination and our hosting of this international taekwondo tournament is our way of making it known to the world that we are ready for big events like this,” Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog said.
