City councilor Joshua Alim said that more than 10,000 councilors out of the 18,000 strong local legislators from cities and municipalities nationwide, chaired by councilor Alma Moreno, will converge in this city for the three-day convention, the last gathering for this term.
Highlighting the convention is the giving of citations to the country’s outstanding councilors, Alim said.
Liberal Party standard bearer Mar Roxas and Ilonggo senator Franklin Drilon are among the invited speakers of the convention.
The gathering will also provide participants the opportunity to tour new and historical tourist destinations of the city. [via PNA]
