Search is on for 2019 Miss Teen Philippines - Iloilo - IloiloToday

Miss Teen Philippines is calling all beautiful, confident and smart Ilonggas all over Western Visayas for a screening in Iloilo this January 2019!

Founded in 2004, Miss Teen Philippines is the country's premier search for next Filipina teen role model. After four years of hiatus, the pageant is back with a bigger agenda: to highlight the Filipino youth’s “global readiness through education.”

Miss Teen Philippines - Iloilo organizers met with Iloilo media and bloggers recently to announce the revival of the pageant, which last crowned a queen in 2014.

"We are looking for young and vibrant teens that will represent Iloilo, with an advocacy on education," said GJ Cordero, Regional Coordinator for Miss Teen Philippines Iloilo.

The initial screening for qualified applicants will be on January 5, 2019, 9AM at VIP Lounge of Festive Walk Mall Iloilo. Here are the qualifications for interested teens:

Natural born Filipina (at least one Filipino parent)
14-18 years old at the time of the pageant
Currently enrolled in an educational institution
Single, at least 5'3

If interested, you may bring the following requirements at the screening:

High resolution photos of head shot, half body picture, full body picture, and a beauty shot
Completed application form (Download here: https://is.gd/MTP2019ApplicationForm)
Copy of school ID or Transcript of Records and Birth Certificate
What to Wear: Denim jeans, white sleeveless top, and heels (at least 3 inches)

After the initial screening, Iloilo hopefuls will undergo a pre-qualifying tilt on February 9, 2019 at SM City Iloilo.

Candidates who will pass Iloilo screening will represent the region in the Finals and be a part of the Miss Teen Empowerment Workshop in Manila on April 3-12, 2019. The workshop includes Personality Development, Photoshoot and Runway Training, Tour with Major Sponsors, Educational Tour with Department of Education and National Youth Commission, and Sessions with Mentors.

A new Miss Teen Philippines will be crown in a Coronations Night at The Maybank Theater on April 13, 2019, with primetime telecast on ABS-CBN.
