The 170-million 7,000 sq-m. port facility will accommodate Iloilo-Bacolod boats that will transfer from the current Muelle Loney pier which in turn will be transformed into a boulevard, said Senator Drilon.
“We are not merely engaged in realizing the Iloilo Fast Craft & RORO Terminal at the Iloilo River. We are also working jointly to prepare a holistic development plan to maximize the benefits from this project and further unlock the economic and tourism potential of Iloilo City and the rest of the region. This project will doubtless enhance our connectivity with neighboring provinces in the region and beyond,” said Mayor Jed.
The project is expected to be completed in a year’s time under the supervision of Philippine Ports Authority (PPA).
