Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog called for a public consultation July 4 to thresh out concerns of affected stakeholders in the proposed rehabilitation of Washington Bridge in Jaro (crossing Tabuc Suba going to Leganes).

The discussion gathered issues raised on traffic re-routing, posting of public notice and signages, delivery of cargoes, car pass, truck ban, loading and unloading, no parking, opening of one-way into two-way street, trisikad and tricycles' entry and pedestrian safety, among others.

The meeting was attended by transport sector, police, business community, and barangay officials, among others.

A follow-up meeting is scheduled on July 22 to invite project affected parties including civil society groups, homeowners, provincial transport groups, senior citizens, trisikad and tricycle drivers' association, among others, to get their consensus.

The public is encouraged to send comments and suggestions through Iloilo City Government Facebook page / Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog Facebook page or via email at infocityhall@yahoo.com until July 20 for coordination.
