Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog led the opening of pedestrianization of Iloilo Calle Real on Saturday, December 14.

The project authored by Councilor Jason Gonzales has opened the Calle Real to night vendors and other sellers as domestic and foreign tourists walk to see the numerous heritage buildings of the old city refurbished to its original façade without fear of running vehicles.

Termed as 'Heritage Walk Tour' by its main proponent, the pedestrianization will run for three-month period from December 14, 2013 to March 16, 2014 every Saturday 5PM to Sunday 12:00 midnight.

TMTRO has changed the routes of Jaro CPU, Jaro Liko, City Proper, Baluarte, Lapuz and Bo. Obrero PUJs as the JM Basa street will be closed to all vehicles.
