Philippine Air Force accepting new recruits

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) has announced that it is now accepting recruits to fill in vacancies, but first, they must hurdle the entrance examinations.

The entrance examinations is set on April 4-5, 2014 at West Visayas State University (WVSU), Luna Street, La Paz, Iloilo City. Application forms for the said exam can be obtained from the ROTC office of WVSU or from the Technical Operations Group VI of the 2nd Air Division of the Philippine Air Force at Camp Hernandez, Dingle, Iloilo.

Qualifications

For Candidate Soldiers:

• Natural born Filipino


• 18-23 years of age


• finishers of 72 units in college


• single (having no illegitimate child)


• at least 5 feet tall


• well-reported in the community


• physically and mentally fit to stand military training

For Officer Candidates, the same qualifications as with the candidate soldiers, except for these two:

• 20-24 years of age


• Graduate of 4-year course

Further requirements are authenticated NSO birth certificates, transcript of records, or a certificate attesting to units earned in college, or certificate of candidacy for graduation, and two copies of 2x2 ID pictures with white backdrop. (PNA)
