This is the first time that the President will celebrate the Independence Day outside Luzon, after leading the rites in Cavite, Bulacan, Liwasang Bonifacio and Camarines Sur the past 4 years.
Also for the first time outside Malacanang, PNoy will welcome diplomats and guests for vin d'honneur at the newly-restored Casa Real de Iloilo after the event at Sta. Barbara. Watch the livestream below:
PNoy arrived in Iloilo on Thursday, June 11 to unveil markers for Benigno Aquino Avenue and Corazon Aquino Avenue, and the Casa Real de Iloilo.
He also inspected several infrastructure projects which include Dungon Bridge, Muelle Loney Bridge, Diversion Road widening and the iconic Iloilo Convention Center.
