The Gaisano ICC is a 16-hectare prime real estate property intended to be a mixed-use development with a shopping mall, a high rise condominium and hotel, office buildings, as well as residential lots.
The topping-off ceremony was led by Gaisano Capital Group Chairman Emeritus Edmund 'Eddie' Gaisano, Sr., Chairperson Judy Gaisano, GCG President Henry Gaisano II, and GCG Vice President for Operations Edmund Gaisano Jr.
Ilonggo leaders Senator Franklin Drilon, Governor Arthur Defensor, Congressman Jerry Treñas, Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog, Vice Mayor Joe III Espinosa, and some members of Iloilo City Council were present in the event.
Drilon congratulated the Gaisano family for the completion of site development of ICC and personally thanked the Gaisano patriarch "for the confidence that you have shown for us here in Iloilo."
"I can assure you, give us a few more years, that we can beat Cebu in terms of economic development," Drilon added.
Mabilog also thanked "Gaisano Capital for believing in Iloilo City and its potential."
"The completion of this multi-billion project will sustain Iloilo City's momentum in attracting the best enterprises and its inclusive economic growth."
Gaisano Sr. appreciated the warm welcome of the Ilonggos, and specifically expressed his deepest gratitude to his longtime friend Mr. Eusebio Sy Ching, whom way back more that 30 years ago had lend him P300,000.
"That P300,000 goes a long long way that makes Gaisano Capital what it is today. To you Mr. Eusebio Sy Ching, the Gaisano Capital Group expresses our deepest gratitude."
The horizontal development of ICC includes a one-kilometer man-made lake called Canal dela Reyna and its promenade Portico Philippe, and the paraw-inspired Franchesca Bridge.

It also boasts of its Hennesy Lane, a well-designed road network that will offer a one-of-a-kind view and experience to residents and workers.
But the most-awaited development of the property is the 40-storey Gaisano Tower that will emerge as the tallest building in the city.
Once the whole Gaisano ICC is completed, it will bring more than 10,000 jobs for the Ilonggos.
