AGFA finished 12 weeks of Skills Training on Vegetable Production on Good Agricultural Practices. Started last October 13, the training was participated by 54 AGFA members.
It was a collective activity of the City Agriculture’s Office and the Department of Social Welfare and Development. Its main goal is to provide sustainable livelihood to the farmers.
Vice Mayor Bonifacio P. Barbero lauds farmers’ dedication and hard work towards farming and production of healthier foods through pesticide-free vegetable gardening. “The local government of Passi City will continue to support our farmers by providing budget for their trainings,” said Vice Mayor Barbero.
City Administrator Atty. Stephen Palmares commended the association for their active participation in different agricultural projects and programs of LGU. “In order in ensure the success of our local agricultural industry, we need the support of our government unit, farmer organizations and the support from our national agencies,” said Atty. Palmares.
