This was announced during Friday’s regular meeting of the PPOC.
Iloilo Provincial Administrator Raul Banias said the budget will be used for programs like assistance to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), specifically for the provision of food subsidy to inmates at the Iloilo Provincial Integrated Jail in Nanga, Pototan.
Barangay service volunteers will also receive Php4,000 each.
Portion of the fund will also be used to finance small projects under the community development assistance of the province by Iloilo governor Arthur Defensor Sr. and the SP members.
“These are projects that address the basic needs of a barangay or the municipality and impact on the peace and order situation like improvement of roads, water, health facilities, day care centers and teen centers, among others,” he said.
Also included in the budget was the funding for the hiring of provincial guards and private security in the capitol, sports complex and the hospitals. [via PNA | Photo by PA Raul Banias]
