The four-day event, which is one of the activities in line with the 111th foundation anniversary of the CSC, gathered 26 government agencies at the SM City Mall here.
Leo Jamorin, CSC-6 OIC chief for Public Assistance and Liaison Division, said that the government express at the mall is a “one stop shop” for the government front line services where mall goers could inquire or process some transactions to the participating government agencies during mall hours, from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m.
Specifically, participating agencies include the Land Transportation Office (LTO), Social Security System (SSS), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (Philhealth), Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), among others.
“We are inviting all mall goers to grab the opportunity to have access to the various frontline services until Thursday,” Jamorin said.
The “Government Express at the Mall” has been a project of the CSC for several years already as part of its inception commemoration.
This year’s theme for the anniversary is “Sigaw ng Lingkod Bayani: Malasakit Para Sa Taumbayan, Kapwa Kawani, at Kalikasan”, which activities are meant to instill compassion with action for health, the environment, deserving public servants, and the Filipino public who are the clients of government service offices.
The highlight of the celebration here in the region will be the Honor Awards Program on September 15 wherein 12 government employees and officials will be recognized as regional winners and who will be vying for the national award. [via PNA]
